6 October 2015 – Aix en Provence
The workshop was organised en partnership with Groupement de Recherche en Economie Quantitative d’Aix-Marseille (GREQAM) and Euro-Mediterranean Forum of Institutes of Economic Sciences (FEMISE). Ten papers were presented during the workshop.
The objective was to discuss about the effects of economic globalization on firms primarily in emerging and developing countries. Globalization comes along with reduced customs duties, non-tariff measures harmonisation, integration to the global value chain and a significant increase of international trade.
The participants debated on the basis of comparisons between economies in transition like Romania and economies involved in a development dynamic like Egypt, Turkey and also China and Vietnam.
