Climate change, Inequality and Migration
Frédéric Docquier's presentation (UCLouvain, IRES, Ferdi) is focusing on the implications of climate change on migration flows. Based on a global general equilibrium model, he analyses with Jaime de Melo (Université Genève, Ferdi), the prospects for changes in the rise in temperatures and the rise in the seas' level.
Over the next century, 100 million people will migrate within their country and internationally. The authors foresee that the proportion of international migration will remain marginal.
